Mr. Walz was a constant in my high school years. He loved books--and great literature. He introduced me to Pride and Prejudice 54 years ago, and I still read it through from time to time and think of him. Condolences to his wife Grace, who was the best high school history teacher anyone ever had.

Mr. Walz was a teacher who made you think and not follow the crowd blindly. He encouraged us to be the best we could be. I'll always be grateful for that. Vicki Sackett Misari
