Sharon Ann Thomas, 76, of Fennville, MI passed away Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at Holland Hospital. Born September 2, 1946 in Alexandria, LA, she was the daughter of the late Colonel Robert Hoffman, USAF and Maxine (Curry) Hoffman. Sherry was always the picture of poise and grace and had even been a debutante when in high school. Having grown up in a military household, she never forgot her roots in Louisiana and enjoyed being with all her cousins. It was no surprise when she also married a serviceman. Sherry wed Barry Thomas and would spend thirty-three wonderful years as husband and wife. Together they did their best to stay close to all of their kids and grandkids before moving to Michigan, but it was very hard with all of them so spread out throughout the states. Sherry and Barry loved to spend time in their younger years camping and hiking in the Grand Canyon. She was a wonderful, loving and devoted wife, mother, sister and grandmother. Sherry looked forward to going to see her grandchildren’s sporting and band events whenever she was able; they made her so proud. She will be missed dearly by her family and many dear lifelong friends whom she cherished.
In addition to her adored husband, Barry, Sherry is survived by her brother, Michael Hoffman; children, Michael (Tammy) Clark and his son, Logan and Casey (Larry) Nolan and her children, Rylan, Baillie, Hugh and Ryan; stepchildren, Collin (Michelle) Thomas and his son, Conner, Mona (Jim) Borkowski and her children, Shelbi, Abbi and Emili and Mark Thomas and his son, Ian; and one great-grand child. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Michael Clark, III; daughter-in-law, Justine Thomas; and brother, Mark Hoffman.
In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place.
