Richard McLoud Obituary

Richard Harry McLoud

April 15, 1954 – February 26, 2024

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Richard Harry McLoud, a beloved father, grandfather, motorcycle enthusiast, and cherished member of our community. Richard passed away on February 26, 2024, in his home.

Harry, as he was known by most, was born on April 15, 1954, to William McLoud and Lucy (Turner) Lyons in Plainwell, Michigan. Throughout his life, he found immense joy and passion in riding motorcycles, a passion that stayed with him until his final days. He embraced the open road with a sense of freedom and adventure that was truly inspiring to all who knew him. Harry also had a career in the steel business, working for Royal Sheet Metal and retiring in 2019.

Harry was a father to his four children, Rick (Melissa) McLoud, Julia Baumann, Felicia (James) Osborn and Travis McLoud, 10 beautiful grandchildren and 1 great grandchild, all whom he loved dearly and who brought him immeasurable pride and joy. Harry will also be missed by his siblings; Ralph (Janet) Decker, Danny (Lynn) Decker, William (Kathy) McLoud, and Debra (Timothy) McLoud-Delaney. In addition to his biological family, Harry had a deep love for his foster family, which included his foster mother Marilyn Tyler, siblings; Todd Tyler, Mike Tyler, Laura Tyler, and Ed Seeback. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories that will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew him.

Harry is proceeded in death by his father William McLoud and Mother Lucy Lyons, and foster father Norm Tyler.

In addition to his love for motorcycles and his family, Harry was known for his kind and generous spirit. He was always willing to offer advice, lend a helping hand to those in need and had a way of making everyone feel heard and valued.

Harry will be deeply missed by his children, grandchildren, extended family, and friends. While we mourn the loss of such a remarkable man, we take comfort in knowing that his spirit will continue to live on in the stories we share and the memories we hold dear.

May we find solace in the cherished moments we shared with Harry and take comfort in knowing that he is now riding on the open roads of heaven, forever free and at peace. Ride on in peace, Harry!

A celebration of Harry’s life will be held on June 1, 2024, at 2483 63rd. St. Fennville, MI. 49408
