Nereyda Benitez, 44, of Fennville, Michigan, better known as Nery, went to be with her Lord on November 1, 2023, at Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Born on February 8, 1979, in Guerrero, Mexico, she lived a life full of love, kindness and empathy for those around her.

Nereyda was the heart of her family. Her love for her children was incomparable, and she dedicated her life to raising them and teaching them valuable life lessons. Every moment she spent with her children was a moment she cherished, and she made sure her home was always filled with warmth and love. Nereyda is survived by her five children. Her children were her pride and joy, and she leaves behind a legacy of love and family values that they will carry forward.

Nereyda was also a woman of strength and resilience. She faced numerous challenges in her life, but she always met them with kindness and a gentle spirit. Her gentle nature and gentle demeanor made her a model of love and support to those around her.

In addition to her dedication to her family, Nereyda also had a passion for life. Friends may meet the family at San Felipe de Jesús Catholic Church on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, from 6-8 pm and again on Thursday, November 9, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Burial Mass will begin at 11:00 a.m. Nereyda will be buried in the Fennville City Cemetery. A meal will be held immediately following the burial at San Felipe de Jesús Catholic Church, 5586 117th Avenue, Fennville, MI 49408. Chappell Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
