Gary Charles Squire

Gary Squire, 81 of Fennville, Michigan, passed away on Monday, October 31, 2022 at the home he built, surrounded by his family. Gary was an Army Veteran. He owned the Standard Station in Fennville from 1966 to 1979 and then went on to work at Pfizer where he eventually retired from. Gary was an avid outdoorsman who loved to go hunting, fishing, and camping with this family. He loved golfing and bowling and was on many leagues throughout the years where he made numerous good friends and fabulous memories. He also used to race dirt bikes in the mid-60's to early 70's. Gary was affectionately known as "Junk" to his family and friends because he enjoyed the challenge of fixing things with items on hand and A LOT of duct tape!

Gary is survived by his brothers, Greg (Val), Bob (Diane), Mike (Elaine); his sisters, Pat (Al) and Mary (Ron); his daughters, Marcia, Angie (Craig), Lisa (Aaron); his grandchildren, Nicole, Cassidy, Megan, Cody, and Samantha; his great-grandchildren, Maisie and Eli. ALL who will miss him greatly.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 39 years, Marie (Bushee) Squire; his son, John; his father, Roland; his mother, Florence; and his sister, Joan (Bob).

The family will meet with friends at Chappell Funeral Home on Thursday, November 3, 2022 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at which time the Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 AM. There will be a luncheon at the Fennville VFW following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Gary's name to Hospice of Holland (270 Hoover Blvd, Holland, MI 49423) or your local humane society. Service Details. Visitation
