Amparo (Cazares) Martinez

Amparo Martinez, 93 of Pullman, Michigan, passed away Friday, April 28, 2023 at Resthaven Care Center in Holland, Michigan.  Born May 11, 1929 in Estados Unidos, Mexico, she was the daughter of the late Agustin and Francisca (Cazares) Martinez.  Amparo was always a very happy person who enjoyed being surrounded by family.  Even though she didn’t have any children of her own, she was more than blessed with nieces and nephews that she was able to have fun with and spoil and enjoyed taking care of them.  Her personality traits were what we all aspire to – happy, giving, helping others, spreading joy and laughter, and she had a huge love of family.  Amparo was also a very devout Catholic and loved attending San Felipe de Jesus Church in Fennville.  Prayer was very important to her and lifting up her family and others in prayer was a practice she did all of her life.  Being a fourth-generation aunt, that provided a great deal of family to hold in prayer!!  The impression she left on the generations of nieces and nephews in her life was huge.  The memories made of their beloved aunt, will be cherished.

Along with her parents, Amparo now joins them and her brother and three sisters who have left this world.  She is survived by her nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; great-great nieces and nephews; and great-great-great nieces and nephews.

Friends may meet with the family on Friday, May 5, 2023 at San Felipe de Jesus Church from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at which time the Mass of Christian Burial will begin, the Very Rev. Fabio Garzón, V.F. officiating.  Burial will be immediately following at Fennville City Cemetery, Manlius Township.  Chappell Funeral Home assisting the family with arrangements.

Amparo Martinez, 93 de Pullman, Michigan, falleció el viernes 28 de abril de 2023 en Resthaven Care Center en Holland, Michigan. Nacida el 11 de mayo de 1929 en Estados Unidos, México, era hija del difunto Agustín y Francisca (Cazares) Martínez. Amparo siempre fue una persona muy alegre que disfrutaba estar rodeada de familia. A pesar de que no tenía hijos propios, estaba más que bendecida con sobrinas y sobrinos con los que podía divertirse y mimarlos y disfrutaba cuidándolos. Sus rasgos de personalidad eran a lo que todos aspiramos: feliz, generosa, ayudando a los demás, difundiendo alegría y risas, y tenía un gran amor por la familia. Amparo también era una católica muy devota y le encantaba asistir a la Iglesia San Felipe de Jesús en Fennville. La oración era muy importante para ella y levantar a su familia y a otros en oración fue una práctica que hizo toda su vida. Ser una tía de cuarta generación, ¡eso proporcionó una gran cantidad de familia para mantener en oración! La impresión que dejó en las generaciones de sobrinas y sobrinos en su vida fue enorme. Los recuerdos hechos de su amada tía serán apreciados.

Junto a sus padres, ahora se les une Amparo junto con su hermano y tres hermanas que han dejado este mundo. Le sobreviven sus sobrinas y sobrinos; grandes sobrinas y sobrinos; sobrinas y sobrinos bisabuelos; y tatara-tatara-tatara sobrinas y sobrinos.

Los amigos podrán reunirse con la familia el viernes 5 de mayo de 2023 en la Iglesia San Felipe de Jesús de 11:00 am a 1:00 pm hora en la cual dará inicio la Misa de Cristiana Sepultura, el Reverendísimo Fabio Garzón, V.F. oficiando El entierro será inmediatamente posterior en el cementerio de la ciudad de Fennville, municipio de Manlius. Chappell Funeral Home ayudando a la familia con los arreglos.
