William Joseph Tuleja, 81, passed away on March 20, 2026, in Holland, Michigan. Born on December 24, 1944, in Ypsilanti, Michigan, he quickly established himself as a man who embraced the beauty of the natural world and the joy of life.
William, lovingly referred to as Wild Bill by his friends, was preceded in death by his devoted parents, Peter and Lillian (Bowie) Tuleja, and his cherished wife, Sheryl Bol Tuleja, and his granddaughter Sabrina Tuleja.
Bill's legacy lives on through his children: Mike (Shane) Tuleja, Brian (Rhonda) Tuleja, Dan (Yesenia Martinez) Tuleja, Scott (Jill) Tuleja, and Darin Tuleja. Along with his sister Linda (Andy) Starring, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren and carries forward a piece of his adventurous spirit.
An outdoors enthusiast, Bill found solace and pleasure in playing softball, golfing, hunting, and fishing. His passion for the natural world didn't stop there. He was owner of many racehorses, combining his love for animals and the thrill of competition into a fulfilling pursuit. Bill found his calling at Murray Chris Craft, where he spent much of his career in upper management.
Friends and family remember Bill not just for his hobbies, but for his warm and welcoming heart and always joking and singing with his favorite beverage in hand.
William Joseph Tuleja's impact on the world was marked by joy and a boundless enthusiasm for the wonders of every moment. His passing leaves a void in the lives of those who knew him, but his tale is one of a life ardently lived and generously shared. He remains forever in the hearts of the countless lives he touched with his exuberant spirit and loving nature.
To honor Bill’s wishes, there will be no funeral service.
