Wilda Maxine Thomas, age 93, of Douglas, Michigan, died Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at the Holland Community Hospital. Born March 1, 1918 in Allegan County, Michigan she was the daughter of John and Mary (Leedy) Atkins. A lifelong resident of the Fennville area, Wilda was a nurse, working at the Douglas Hospital, she retired from South Haven Community Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband Otto Thomas in July of 1960, she is survived by her brother Donald and Ruth Atkins of Fennville, and her sister Dorothy Morgan of South Haven, MI. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on her birthday March 1, 2012, at the Chappell Funeral Home 637 W. Main St. Fennville, MI.
