Wanda I. Waigand, age 96, of Allegan, Michigan passed away Sunday, May 3, 2015 at Ely Manor in Allegan. Born July 1, 1918 in Otsego, Michigan, she was the daughter of Homer and Katherine (Silcox) Earl. Wanda was a retired telephone operator, working in Allegan for many years. She loved the out doors, and spent many hours working in her yard and barn, caring for her many horses, dogs and any other stray animal that might find its way to her home. Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, husband Larry in 1972 and one brother Wilbur Earl. Surviving are her children Fred and Margie Lantz of Allegan, Shirley and Dale Jipping of Hamilton, grandchildren; Mandi, Mark, Linnay, great-grandchildren; Britton and Dalton, brother Homer Earl Jr. of Grand Rapids, and one sister June Leversee of Allegan. Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, May 6, 2015 with visitation from 12:00 noon till time of service, at the Chappell Funeral Home 637 W. Main St. Fennville, MI. Officiating will be Pastor Alan Carson, and burial will be in the Pearl Cemetery, Clyde Township, Allegan County, Michigan. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of ones choice.
