Vernon D. Aleshire, age, 77 of Fennville, Michigan, passed away Friday, July 4, 2014, at the Wings Home in Allegan, Michigan. Born February 8, 1937 in Leslie, Michigan, he was the son of Ray and Etta (Church) Aleshire. Vernon worked as a supervisor at Ingham County Medical Center for many years, retiring in 1992. He has lived in the Fennville area for the past seven years coming from Harrison, Michigan. He is survived by his wife Carolyn (Dailey) Aleshire children; Sherry Halsey of Lansing, MI, Vernon and Jenny Aleshire of Kentucky, Sue Aleshire of Lansing, MI, Randy and Tammy Aleshire of Lansing, MI, step children; Richard and Judy Stewart of Mason, MI, Gary Stewart of Saugatuck, MI, Norm and Kim Stewart of Mason, MI, Brian and Linda Stewart of Ionia, MI, Michael Stewart of Fennville, twenty six grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and one brother Robert and Viola Aleshire of Lansing. At his request cremation has taken place, and no services are planned. Memorial donations may be made in Vernon's memory to any Humane Society.
