Vela Faye Brown, age 81, of Fennville, Michigan passed away on September 17, 2015. Born October 31, 1933 in Corinth, MS, she was the daughter of Cleave and Bell (Spencer) Willingham. Vela was a long time Fennville resident. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Brown in 1996. Surviving is her daughter Judy Carroll of Fennville, son Bobby and Judy Brown of Pullman; brother Bill and Doris Willingham of Fennville, sister Christine Hamlett of Winfield. AL; 5 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Sunday, September 20, 2015 from 2-5 P.M. and funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Monday, September 21, 2015 at the Chappell Funeral Home 637 W. Main St. Fennville, MI. Officiating will be Pastor Rick Jones, and burial will be in the Manlius cemetery.
