Timothy Ray Sallis, age 53 of Holland, Michigan passes away Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at the Hospice House in Holland. Born March 10, 1959 in Oak Park, Illinois he was the son of Robert and Patricia (Lee) Sallis. Tim moved to the Holland area when he was fifteen, and married his wife Sharon (Stevens) Sallis on October 13, 1984. Tim enjoyed working with wood, doing roofing, golfing, cooking outside and spending time with his children, family and friends. The word NO, was not in his vocabulary when it came to his children and grandchildren, he loved to spoil them. He was a member of the Holland Moose Lodge # 1116, and made and enjoyed many friends over the past 30 years, he was known as a special person that was always willing to help in any way needed, he will be missed dearly by all that knew him. His children were the most important part of his life, and he loved then all dearly. Tim would not won't you to be sad today, but to know he no longer suffers, and walks with God in peace. Surviving is his wife Sharon, children; Timotny and Denelda Aschman of Florida, Stephanie and Mike Gonzales of Holland, Katie Sallis and Mike Nelson of Fennville, Tim Sallis Jr. and Jessica Valles of Holland, seven grandchildren, mother Patrica Ann and Allen Rutzel of Holland, brothers; Bob Sallis of Holland, Frank Sallis of Holden Beach, NC, Ricky Sallis of Chicago, Bruce and Sharon Hellenthal of Hamilton, sisters; Mary Ann and Gary Blackall of Florida, Patty and Len Stevens of Dorr, and Frances Sallis of Holden Beach, NC. Visitation will be Saturday, January 26, 2013 from 2-3 pm, funeral services, will be 3:00 p.m. Saturday January 26, 2013 at the Riverside Chapel 3142 57th Street New Richmond, MI, with Pastor Rich Jones officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials donations may be made to the family, to help with funeral expenses. Donations may also be called into Chappell Funeral Home at 269 561-4601.
