Thomas Janata Watts (1965-2018) died on January 7 at his home in Saugatuck, Michigan. Tom is survived by his mother Emily Watts of Champaign, Illinois, his brother Edward Watts of East Lansing, Michigan, his sisters-in-law Judith Argentieri and Stephanie Watts, Great Aunt Sally Dawson of Richmond, Virginia, nephews Samuel Watts, Anton Watts, and Alexander Watts, and niece Olivia Watts. He is also survived by cousins Wendy (Rick) Zemanski, Virginia (Dan) Holder, Ford (Cindy) Bartholow, Rusty (Lisa) Watts, Robert (Kim) Dawson, Amy Dawson, and Beth (Ben) McAlhany. He was pre-deceased by his father Robert Watts and his brother Benjamin Watts. He graduated from Champaign (Illinois) Central High School, and earned his B.A. from Aquinas College, and his Masters of Library Science from Indiana State University. Tom belonged to the Saugatuck Yacht Club. In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to the Saugatuck Yacht Club Sailing Program (15 Park St., Saugatuck, MI 49453), or to the charity of your choice.
