Thomas L. Gooding, age 71 of Fennville, passed away March 3, 2013 at Hospice House of Holland. Born September 4, 1941 in Allegan, Michigan, Tom was a graduate of Fennville High School in 1960. He worked for many years for MDOT and was known as the buffalo farmer in the area. Surviving are his wife Linda Prestwood, his children John and Angie Gooding of Fennville and Michelle and Andrew Marsh of Zeeland; his mother Florine Gooding; six grandchildren; his brothers Barry and Noreen Gooding and Mike and Carol Gooding; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Bobby and Sheila Prestwood, Brownie Anderson, James and Judy Prestwood, Johnny Prestwood, Bill and Brenda Fraizer, and Cathy and John Fisher and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Kirby Gooding. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, at the funeral home with Reverend Tony Allan officiating. Visitation is scheduled for Friday, March 8, from 1-3 and 5-7 p.m. at Chappell Funeral Home, 637 W. Main St., Fennville, MI.
