Theodore G. Flagel, 72 of Fennville, died Thursday, June 17, 2004 at his residence. Born in Benton Harbor to Ed Flagel and Anna Graber, he married Barbara Reel in 1956, he lived in the Fennville area since the early 1970's coming from Indianapolis. He was a member of Community Church Douglas, and a retired heavy equipment operator for Ford Motor Co. A veteran of the U.S. Army he served in the Korean War. Surviving are his wife Barbara; children, Ted Jr. and Robin Flagel of Fennville, Debra Flagel and Glenn Heilizer of Illinois, and Suzanna Wicks of Douglas; two grandchildren; Gregory Wicks and Megan Wicks; sister, Nita and Lou Jackson of Anderson, IN; brothers, Al and Liz Flagel of Berrien Springs, MI, Art and Ann Flagel of Sister Lakes, MI, Paul and Laverne Flagel of Benton Harbor, MI, and Ron and Eleanor Flagel of Calif. Services are 2 p.m. Saturday, June 19, 2004 at the Community Church Douglas, MI., with the Revs. Dr. Daniel N. Miller and Rev. Dennis J. DeWitt officiating. Visiting is 1 p.m. until the time of service at the church. Memorials may be made to Community Church Memorial Fund.
