Thelma I. Billings, age 92 of Fennville, Michigan died Friday, September 30, 2011 at the Hospice House in Holland. Born on November 26, 1918 in Allegan County, Michigan she was the daughter of Calvin and Jessie (Galbreath) Burch. She was married to Walter Billings who preceded her death on December 9, 1985. Thelma was a member of the Ganges United Methodist Church, and worked as a furniture sprayer at Sligh Furniture till her retirement, then she worked in the Deli at DeMonds (Tafts) in Douglas from 1987-1998. Surviving are her children, Doug and Sherry Billings of Granbury, Texas, and Joyce and Jim Jones of Fennville; grandchildren; John and Melissa Billings, Scott Simpson, Douglas and Kelly Simpson, Korky and Elza Barker, Kelly Lynn Johnson, and 11 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, October 4, 2011 at the Ganges United Methodist Church with Ms. Marcia Tucker officiating. Burial will be in Taylor Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for Monday, October 3, 2011 from 2-4 P.M. and 6-8 P.M. at Chappell Funeral Home in Fennville. Memorial donations may be made to the Ganges United Methodist Church, P.O.
