Steven Jones Sr. passed unexpectedly at home on December 15, 2025, in Fennville, MI. Steven was born to his late parents Cleaburn Sr. and Lula Bell (Mitts) Jones on November 11, 1951, in Wilson, Arkansas. Steven married Rebecca (Gann) Jones and shared over 25 years of marriage together. He retired after 32 years from Woodard FST out of Zeeland, MI, as a professional welder. Steven was an avid outdoorsman from hunting, fishing, or camping, he loved being outdoors making memories. He also enjoyed golfing with friends at local golf courses. Above all else, he loved his family, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, spending intentional time with them whenever he could.

He is survived by his wife Rebecca (Gann) Jones; children Steve Jones Jr., Timothy (Lorraine) Jones, Zac (Ally) Jones, Steve (Jacklyn) Pate, Ryan (Melissa) Pate, Chris Gann, and Tim Schafer; siblings Troy Jones Sr., Patricia (Ken) Fisher, Peggy (Elmer) Taylor, Stanley Jones Sr., Rick (Kathy) Jones, Stacey (Kelly) Jones, and Bruce (Mary) Jones; 13 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents and brother Cleaburn Jones Jr.

Steven's funeral will start at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, December 23, with an hour's visitation beforehand at Chappell Funeral Home located on 637 West Main Street, Fennville, MI 49408. Procession to follow with graveside at East Saugatuck Cemetery.
