Obituary

Steven Alvin Holloway

October 16, 1960 – February 9, 2025

Our Brother, Steven Alvin Holloway, was the ninth child of eleven children born to Priscilla and Leonard Harris Holloway on October 16,1960, in Chicago, Illinois. He also had three siblings from another mother.

Steven Alvin was blessed to be brought up by loving Christian parents. He accepted the Lord as his Savior at an early age and was baptized under the late Reverend John J. Taylor, pastor of St Paul Baptist Church in Chicago, Illinois. After Steven moved to Pullman, he joined My Calvary Baptist Church and around 2008 he moved his membership to the PEB Crusades under the leadership of Pastor James Hudson.

Steven received his formal education from Parker High School in Chicago, Il.

Steven Holloway was a hard worker. He worked at Cisco Company as a security guard and James Ray Bus Company as a bus driver. Also, Steven worked at The Pinnacle Company as a Lab Technician and as a Mechanic Stock Buyer. He worked many twelve-hour shifts, seven days a week, for 30 years until he retired due to his illness.

Steven loved working with computers. He enjoyed taking them apart and putting them back together. He started a company, Momentum Enterprise, where he repaired computers for family and friends.

Our Brother Steven had two loves in his life. His first love was his mother. He was a very devoted and caring son who made sure all her needs were met. The second love of his life was Barbara Lindsey who preceded him in death.

Steven was a family man. He loved his family and often said they were his only circle of friends, and he was very free hearted with them. Of course, many of you know that he always had something to share because he saved his sheckles.

Steven Holloway was preceded him in death by Leonard Jr. Holloway, Joe Dean Holloway, Champ Holloway, his father, Rev Leonard Holloway, and his mother, Mother Priscilla Holloway.

He leaves to mourn and cherish his memories six brothers: Lloyd (Renee) of Chicago, IL; Andrew; Calvin; Kenneth (Marinetta) of Indianapolis, IN; Donald (Shannon) of Holland, MI; and Daniel (Elaine) of Flint MI. Four Sisters: Lena Perry of Aubrey, AK. Geraldine; Shirley of San Diego, CA; Gloria Bradley (Joe) of Benton Harbor, MI; and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Steven's Funeral Service will begin at 12:00pm with a 30-minute visitation beforehand on Friday, February 28th, in Chappell Funeral Home located at 637 West Main Street, Fennville, MI 49408.
