Sonna P. Smith, 91, of Douglas, died Monday, Jan. 16, 2006, in Holland Hospital. Born in Buffalo, N.Y., she was a homemaker and attended All Saints Episcopal Church and Community Church Douglas. She resided in the Saugatuck area since 1951, coming from Western Springs, Il. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley, in 1964; Daughter Suzanne Parish, grandson, Sutton Stevenson; son-in-law Bruce Stevenson; and daughter-in-law, Gail Smith. Surviving are her children, Sherry Coupe and Sondra Stevenson, both of Douglas and Stephen and Lindsey Smith of Naples, Fl.; 11 grand children; six great-grandchildren. A memorial service is 11 a.m. Saturday at Community Church in Douglas with the Revs. Daniel Miller and G.Corwin Stoppel officiating. No visitation is planned. Memorial may be made to the charity of one's choice.
