Shirley June VanOrder, 82 of Allegan, Michigan went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, October 21, 2021 at her home. Born November 18, 1938 in Allegan, Michigan, she was the daughter of the late Sherman and Lena (Peas) Oisten and the wife of the late Paul VanOrder. Shirley was a woman of faith and had a true compassion for others. She had a giving nature and always made sure that her family came first in her life. Shirley loved being a mother, but probably enjoyed being a grandmother even more. Her spunk and energetic personality made Shirley fun to be around and her presence is now missed by all who knew her and were lucky enough to share her life. To know her was to love her. Left to honor her memory are her five children, Robert (Pam) VanOrder, Lena (Erik) Johnson, Paula (Troy) Stevens, Gladys (John) Grant and Rachel (Alan) Gillis; 14 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren. The family will meet with friends at Chappell Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 from 5:00 - 8:00 PM. The funeral service will be held at Chappell Funeral Home on Thursday, October 28, 2021 at 11:00 AM, with a final committal service at Millgrove Cemetery, Valley Township. Service Details.
