Shirley Faye (Jones) Sullivan

November 27, 1954 – May 10, 2024

Shirley Faye Sullivan, Partner, Mother, Grandmother, Aunt, Sister, and Homemaker.

Shirley passed away on May 10, 2024, surrounded with so much love. Shirley was born in Lakeland, Florida and grew up in Vincennes, Indiana, along with her Parents, 3 sisters: Peggy jones, Joyce Jones Cionka, Mary Sue Smith and her brother, Jerry Callaway.

Shirley moved to Detroit, got married and had 6 children: Jesse F Nelson Jr., Johnny L. Nelson, Jeffrey W. Nelson, Jason L.  Nelson, Jeremey W. Nelson, and James E. Nelson. Years after the passing of her late husband she met Robert Miller and their relationship blossomed for 19 years.

Shirley has one daughter in law, Rosalinda Martinez-Nelson, who is married to her son Jason and together they have 3 children, who Shirley helped raise since they were very young. Son Jesse has 3 children; Johnny has 5 children and James has 1 child. Shirley was also blessed with 5 Great grandchildren, nephews, Rodawn and John Sullen along with many more family members.

Shirley had a very large family and they loved her very much for taking care of all of them. She was a homemaker who loved spending time with her family, especially her grandkids. Shirley had such a huge heart and green thumb and could bring plants back to life. Her favorite flowers were tulips.

We will never forget Shirley's huge heart and all the beautiful memories we will forever hold in our hearts.

Shirley was proceeded in death by her parents, John and Dorothy Mae Jones and beloved son James Nelson. Shirley will forever be missed and loved.

We will be having a graveside service on Monday, May 20, 2024, at 1:00pm, Fennville City Cemetery.
