Shawn C. McCracken, age 40, of Fennville, died Wednesday, September 29, 2010, at the scene of an auto accident in Saugatuck Township. Born February 10, 1970, in Douglas, Michigan, he was the son of Robert and Phyllis (Crippen) McCracken. He was a 1988 graduate of Fennville High School, and worked at the Stevens Hotel in Fennville as a bartender. Shawn enjoyed the outdoors, he loved to hunt, shoot, fish, and train dogs. Surviving are his daughters Naomi McCracken, and Dakota (Cody) McCracken, both of Kalamazoo, MI, his sister, Gail and Greg Spicer, of Portage, MI, brothers; Gary and Mary McCracken, of Fennville, Rob and Toni McCracken, of Fennville, and Kirk and Rayong McCracken of Allegan. Shawn was preceded in death by both his parents in February of 2010. Visitation will be at the Chappell Funeral Home in Fennville, on Tuesday, October 5, 2010 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., with a funeral service at 7:00 p.m. Burial will be in the Fennville Cemetery.
