Ruth G. Atkins, age 88, of Fennville, Michigan passed away Monday, November 9, 2015 at Holland Hospital. Born April 14, 1927 in Fennville, Michigan, she was the daughter of Lawrence and Freda Bale. Ruth was a homemaker, lifelong Fennville area resident. She is preceded in death by her husband Donald E. Atkins on October 20, 2013. Surviving are her children; John and Rosanne Atkins of Fennville, Joyce Ballast and Gary Richardson of Fennville; 5 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandson; sisters, Mary Lou Sisson and Lois Hartsuiker both of Fennville. Memorial donations may be made in Ruth's name to Fennville District Library, P.O. Box 1130 Fennville, MI 49408. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. with visitation starting at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, November 27, 2015 at Chappell Funeral Home, 637 W. Main St. Fennville.
