Russell Sill of Zeeland passed away at home on May 1, 2015. He was born in Casco Township, South Haven,MI on September 30, 1931 to William and Alice Sill. He was predeceased by his parents and his brothers Arnold and Vernon. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Elaine (Frandsen) and his sister Mahla Keller. Also surviving are many caring nieces and nephews. Russell graduated from South Haven High School and Michigan State. Russell and his brother, Vernon, partnered in 1957 as Sill Brothers Farms following his service in the Army. In 1972. he was appointed Allegan County Clerk and served in that position until his retirement in 1988. Russell and Elaine spent 22 winters in Sebring. FL. He enjoyed traveling the United States having visited every State at least once. His greatest joy was spending time with family and friends. Russ was a loyal member of the Casco United Methodist Church where he attended his entire life. A memorial service will take place on May 5 at 12:00 noon at the Casco United Methodist Church, 880 66th St & 109th Ave. (Pullman Road)South Haven, MI visitation will take place one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the church or Hospice of Holland.
