Roy Elry Grigg, age 77 of Fennville, Michigan, died Saturday, Nov. 29, 2008 at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo, MI. Born January 23, 1931, in Brush, Colorado, he was the son of Samuel and Maggie (Cole) Grigg. He married Margaret Fay Burris on June 25, 1950 in Arkansas. Roy worked for Michigan Fruit Canners in Fennville for many years. Surviving is his wife Margaret (Faye) Grigg of Fennville, sons; Tom Grigg and Nicole Karr of Spring Lake, MI, Elry and Sherry Grigg of South Haven, MI, Sam and Candie Grigg of Lakeland, FL and Mike Grigg of Fennville, daughters; Cindy Warchol of Allegan, MI, Alicia and Terry Jeffrey of Fennville, and Debi and Mark Howe of Allegan, MI. 17 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, brother, Vernon and Juanita Grigg of Redmond, Oregon, and a sister Jewell and Rocky Shoulders of Elkhart, IN, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, two sisters, and one great-grandson. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2008 at the Chappell Funeral Home Fennville, with Rev. Glenn Jeffrey officiating. Visitation will be from 7-9 p.m. Monday, Dec. 1, 2008. Burial will be in Plummerville Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
