Robert Ahlman Peterson, 62, of Grand Rapids, died Thursday, Feb. 9, 2006, in Clark Retirement Community, Grand Rapids. A former mayor of Fennville, he graduated from Eastern Michigan University, taught in Fennville Public Schools and was a former athletic director. Surviving are a brother, John and Kathleen Peterson of Elk Rapids; a cousin, and three nephews. Services are l p.m. Monday at Glenn Eden Memorial Park in Livonia. The Rev. Robert Hoey will officiate. Burial will be in Glenn Eden Memorial Park. Visitation is 2 to 4 pm Sunday at the Chappell Funeral Home, 637 W. Main St., Fennville. Memorials may be made to Clark Retirement Village.
