Robert C. Jones, 78, of Saugatuck, died Sunday, Jan. 5, 2008 at Holland Community Hospital. Born May 17, 1929, in South Haven, MI to Clarence and Thelma (Strate) Jones, he was a US Army veteran. He worked for Alson Harris Pie in Saugatuck and also in the maintenance department for the City of Saugatuck. Surviving is his daughter Barbara Carol of Holland, MI, brother Lyle and Betty Jones of Saugatuck, sister Naomi Hord of Florida. At his request cremation has taken place, and no services will be held. Memorials may be made to the Saugatuck Township Fire Department.
