Robert Eugene Drew, age 82, of Fennville, Michigan, went to be with his beloved wife Margaret, and his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on Tuesday, June 7, 2011. Born March 19, 1929, in Chicago, Illinois, he was the only son of Robert D. and Ellen (Jacobson) Drew. A Marine Corps. Veteran, he served in the Korean War. Robert was a member of the Ganges Baptist Church, he owned and operated Drews Realty and Drews Accounting services in Fennville for over 45 years. He was also a former Allegan County Commissioner. Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret, sons Robert Drew and Walter Porter. Surviving are his children; Donald and Brenda Drew of Battle Creek, David Drew of Fennville, James Porter of Holland, Julie Porter of Fennville, Luwayne McKeever of Saugatuck, and Barbara and Larry McCulley of Sarasota, FL, several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Friday, June 10, 2011 from 1-3 p.m. and 6-8 p.m., funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 11, 2011, at the Chappell Funeral Home 637 W. Main St. Fennville, MI. Officiating will be Rev. Thomas Case, and burial will be in Mountain Home Cemetery Otsego, MI. Memorial donations may be made to the Ganges Baptist Church 6577 122nd Ave. Fennville, MI 49408.
