Robert Dale Barnes, 76, of Pullman, Michigan, died Sunday, December 2, 2007 in Kalamazoo. He was born in Bravo, MI to Frank and Neva(Rininger)Barnes. He owned and operated Al-Van Roofing for over 40 years. A member of the Saladine Shrine, he was president of the Allegan-Ottawa Shrine Club; the Masonic Lodge, a driver for the Shriner's Childrens Hospital, and attended the Pearl United Methodist Church. Surving are his wife, Maxine of Pullman, Michigan; children, Karen and Dale Boeve of Killen, Alabama, Robert Jr and Chris Barnes of Kentwood, Michigan; Candy Decker and Phil Allen; Cindy and Rob Harrington, Cathy and William Bender, Kim and Mike Montoy, all of Allegan, Michigan; Jeff Barnes and Robin Gibson of Lacota, Michigan; 8 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Joy and Charles Martin of Grand Junction, Michigan; brother-in-law, Robert Dutton, of Grand Rapids, Michigan; sisters-in-law, Valeria Barnes of Fennville, Michigan; and Vonita Barnes of Pullman, Michigan; several nieces and nephews. Services are scheduled for Wednesday, December 5, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Raymond Sundell officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 4, 2007 at 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m., 637 W. Main St., with a Masonic memorial service at 8:00 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Saladine Shrine Foundation for Children.
