Richard H. Stehle, 82, of Fennville, died Saturday, Nov. 27, 2004, at an area care facility. Born in Allegan County, he lived in the Fennville area his entire life and attended Ganges Baptist Church. He retired as a carpenter from Getman Brothers in South Haven. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was awarded a Purple Heart. Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Kathryn; sons, Terry and Lorelei Stehle of Hamilton, and Rodney H. Stehle of Muskegon; two grandchildren, Shannon Bowman and Wendy Calcagno, one great granddaughter Oliva Bowman, a Brother, Robert Stehle of Stevensville, and sisters Mae and Elwin Perkins of Fenville, and Marjorie Brunsell of Holland, Michigan. Visitation is 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, November 30, 2004 at the Chappell Funeral Home. Services are 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 1, 2004 at Chappell Funeral Home, 637 W. Main St., Fennville, Michigan with the Rev. Tom Case officiating. Burial will be in Taylor Cemetery in Ganges Township. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Holland.
