Richard D. Sisty, age 77, of Holland, MI, died Friday, Oct. 3, 2008 at Holland Community Hospital. Born Feb. 8, 1931, in Morenci, MI, he was the son of William and Margaret (Hutson) Sisty. He retired from the US Navy, after more than 22 years of service, and he was the former owner of the Wood Shed in Douglas, MI, he also worked at the Dunes View Quick Stop in Saugatuck for 17 years. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Elizabeth Sisty, one brother Raymond Sisty of Iowa, two sisters Betty Phelps of San Diego, Calif, and Barb Fisher of Cheyenne, Wyoming, also nephews Johnny Michael Dan, and Tommy Dan both of Detroit, MI. Visitation will be Sunday, Oct. 5, 2008 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., with a funeral service at 7:00 p.m. at the Chappell Funeral Home 637 W. Main St. Fennville, MI, with Ms. Marcia Tucker officiating.
