Richard A. Loudin, 64 of Fennville, died Friday, April 18, 2008 at his home, from a short battle with lung cancer. Born May 23, 1943 in Allegan, he was the son of Jay Jack Gould Loudin and Viola McClain Loudin. He was a Vietnam veteran serving in the U.S. Army. He married his wife Barbara Thomas on June 1, 1963. He was a life member of the Masonic Lodge # 193 F.& A.M. and also a life member of the Saugatuck V.F.W. Post. He worked at Proton in Zeeland for many years. Surviving is his wife Barbara Loudin; Daughter Robin Schalte of Fennville, Son Brent and Debi Loudin of Holland, MI; grandchildren Chad Loudin, Amanda Loudin, and John Ryan Schalte; Robert and Carol Valentine and Loy and Gisele Loudin sister Diana Kay and Alex Rivera; sister-in-law Mary Elizabeth Loudin. Services will be Monday, April 21, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. at the Chappell Funeral Home Fennville, with visiting one hour prior to service. Burial will be in Taylor Cemetery.
