Richard A. Keirnan, age 64, of Saugatuck, passed away Monday, December 2, 2013. Born August 29, 1949 in Barry, Illinois, he was the son of Max and Mildred (Sherwood) Keirnan. He was a Vietnam, Army Veteran receiving 3 Purple Hearts. Richard was a master carpenter and also a charter boat captain on Lake Michigan. He had a great love for the outdoors, and enjoyed all hunting, fishing, and especially pheasant hunting. He was preceded in death by his father Max Keirnam in July of 2013, and is survived by his wife, Melissa Raywood-Keirnan, mother, Mildred Keirnan of Holland, son Jason Keirnan of Alabama, two granddaughters, and one great-grandson, one brother Martin Keirnan, of Holland, two nephews and one niece, and many great friends. Visitation will be Saturday, December 7, 2013 from 2-5 p.m. at the Chappell Funeral Home 637 W. Main St. Fennville, MI. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of ones choice.
