Richard Allen Compton of South Haven passed away in the early hours of Saturday, January 27, 2018, surrounded by his loved ones. He is now forever united with his wife of 58 years, Agnes Mae Compton, who passed away in 2013. Richard would love to spend time with his wife working in the garden together. One of his favorite jobs was driving truck for the Canonie Construction Company and as a member of the United States Army, Richard proudly served our country during the Korean Conflict. Richard is the child of the late George Harvey Compton and Lulu Mae (Porter) Compton. He is survived by his children, Cheryl Sackett, JoAnn (Bill) Sill, Douglas Compton; sister, Francis Marshall; grandchildren, Brent Lawson, Brad Lawson, Richie (Angie) Sackett, Brian (Noemi) Sackett, Kelsey Sill, Ashley (Carlos) Fosseti; and his 11 great grandchildren. Richard is preceded in death by his two brothers, George Compton and John Compton. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
