Rebecca Ann Thomas, 54, of Kalamazoo, died Thursday, Nov. 3, 2005. Born in Chicago, she taught in Fennville Public Schools for l7 years, and was a former assistant principal at Bloomingdale School. She had also been employed by Western Michigan University and Loy Norrix Public Schools. She had resided in the Pullman area for many years prior to moving to Kalamazoo. Surviving are her husband James; children, James and Heather Thomas of Holt, Jennifer and Marcus Howell of Tampa, Fla.; two grandchildren; a sister, Delores and Robert Baker of Louisville, Ky.; and a brother, Allen and Hazel Travis of Matteson, Ill. Services are 2 p.m. Friday, November 11, 2005 at the Chappell Funeral Home, 637 W. Main St., with the Rev. William Balza officiating. Burial will be in Lee Cemetery.
