Rebecca Ann Sargent, 56, of Fennville, MI passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, March 5, 2020 at her home. Born June 10, 1963, she was the daughter of Margaret Ann (Lucy) Lacy and the late Kenneth Lacy and was the wife of Loren K. Sargent. Rebecca was a longtime member of Ganges Baptist Church where she had been baptized and married. She loved painting and spending time in her garden. Rebecca also enjoyed going on shopping trips and collecting turquoise jewelry. She was a loving and caring person who had a special soft spot for animals. No matter if they were her pets or strays, she gave them the love and care they needed and deserved. Rebecca's family was her greatest love, however. She was a devoted and loving wife and mother and a passionate and involved grandmother. In addition to her mother, Margaret, and her husband of thirty-four years, Loren, Rebecca is survived by her children, Nikole (Jose) DeLeon and David (Christy) Sargent; her siblings, Kenneth Lacy, Kendra (Scott) Onken and Michael (Rachelle) Lacy; grandchildren, Abraham, Aylene, Azaylea and Emerson; stepgrandchildren, Ava, Brielle and Carsyn; as well as a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends too numerous to list. The family will receive friends at Chappell Funeral Home on Sunday, March 8, 2020 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. A funeral service will take place at Ganges Baptist Church on Monday, March 9, 2020 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Tom Case and Pastor Bill Dodge officiating. Burial will follow in Taylor Cemetery.
