Mrs. Rebecca C. (Gamble) Brownlee, age 87 of Fennville, MI, formerly of Mayfield, Kentucky passed away on Sunday, March 30, 2014 at the Hospice House in Holland, Michigan, after an extended illness. Born on October 1, 1926 in Mayfield, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Cecil and Della (Dillon) Gamble Gilliam. Rebecca spent her youth in Mayfield, then moved to Detroit, Michigan, where she met and married her husband of 55 years, William Brownlee. In 1970 they moved to West Michigan (Fennville, MI) and started a fruit orchard business. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, in Allegan, Michigan. Rebecca was preceded in death by her parents, her husband William in 2001, and one brother Gus Mack Gamble of Cedar Hill, MO. She is survived by her children, Craig Brownlee of Fennville, MI, Marsha and Lanny Lindemann of Hamilton, MI, Julie and John Stafford of Morrison, TN, seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. At her request, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date in Murfreesboro, TN.
