Rafael Cabrera, 73, of Fennville, MI passed away Friday, November 15, 2019 at his home with his family at his side. Born February 14, 1946 in Santa Rosa, TX, he was the son of the late Jesus and Consepcion (Barrera) Cabrera. Rafael was an accomplished Tae Kwan Do practitioner and a member of the American Poolplayers Association. He enjoyed playing bingo and working with leather. He made cell phone cases, belts, knife holders and pool cases, amongst many other things. Rafael was an avid horse rider and trainer. He worked as a journeyman hydraulic specialist. Above all else, Rafael loved spending time with his family. His children, grandchildren and great-grandchild brought him his greatest joy. Rafael is survived by his children, Rafael (Rachel) Cabrera, Jr., Rachel DuMouchel, Antonio (Sophia) Cabrera, Angie (John) Gooding, Connie Cabrera, CiCi Cabrera, Elizabeth Klooz, Diana (Rolando) Martinez, Rafael (Tricia) Cabrera, and Jacob Cabrera; his siblings, Maria (Martin) Hernandez, Donato (Margaret) Cabrera and Gloria Armijo; fourteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Ricardo Cabrera. The family will receive friends at Chappell Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 20, 2019 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. A funeral service at the funeral home will begin at 12:00 PM. Burial will follow in Pearl Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Cabrera Family. Service Details.
