Perdita B. Reynolds, age 81, of Madison Heights, Michigan, died peacefully on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at her home, surrounded by her children. Born July 29, 1934 in Douglas, Michigan, she was the youngest daughter of Clarence and Hattie (Koehler) Erlewein. She met her future husband, Bob, while they attended Michigan State University. The two were married in 1958 in Ferndale, Michigan. Shortly thereafter, they moved to Madison Heights, where they raised their three children and lived out their lives together. Dita loved her family deeply and dedicated her life to supporting them in every way she could. She was creative, artistic and musical, but above all, she was a selfless partner, mother and friend. She will be greatly missed by all. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert H. Reynolds, on July 13, 1996, sisters Rita Lincoln, Lois Aldrich, and brother Jim Erlewein. Surviving are her children: Lori Reynolds of Grand Junction, MI, daughter Judi and her husband Don Cook of South Lyon, MI, son Dan Reynolds and his wife Lana White of Indian River, MI; grandchildren, Alena Cook and Dana Reynolds; and many loving nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, November 21, 2015 with visitation from 11:00 am until time of service. These will be held at the Chappell Funeral Home, 637 W. Main St., Fennville, MI with Rev. Dale Scholten officiating, followed by the burial at Fennville Cemetery, where she will rest next to her beloved husband Bob.
