Paula Charlotte Frandsen, 99, of Sparta, died Friday, Dec. 17, 2004. at the Meadowlark Retirement Village of Sparta. A native of Germany, she lived in the Fennville area for more than 60 years before moving to Sparta in 2002. She worked as a cook for the Fennville Public Schools and was a member of the Fennville United Methodist Church, the Sunshine Club and was former member of the Rebekah Lodge. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl, in 1952, and a son, Neils, in 1991. She is survived by daughters Joyce and Don Lucha of Sparta and Elaine and Russell Sill of Zeeland; three grandchildren, Rick and Jan Dumont of Fremont, MI, Kelli and Richard DeYoung of Grand Rapids, MI, and Matthew and Jenifer Werdon of Caledonia, MI;, and seven great grandchildren. Services will be l:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 21, 2004, at the Fennville United Methodist Church, 5849 M-89, Fennville, with the Rev. Ray Sundell officiating. Burial will be in Taylor Cemetery. Visitation is at the church one hour prior to the service.
