Paul VanOrder, age 79, of Allegan passed away at his home on Sunday, February 1, 2015, with his family by his side. Born February 26, 1935 in Allegan, Michigan he was the son of Ellis and Gladys (Ewers) VanOrder. Paul retired from the Baker furniture in Holland, Michigan. Paul Loved the Lord, enjoyed spending time with his family, grandchildren, woodworking, mowing his lawn, and going for rides in the car. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one daughter Paulette Valintine. Surviving is his wife of 54 years Shirley (Oisten) VanOrder, children; Robert VanOrder of Twin Lake, MI, Lena and Erik Johnson of Bloomingdale, Michigan, Paula and Troy Stevens of West Olive, Michigan, Gladys and John Grant of Holland, Michigan, Rachel and Alan Gillis of Allegan, Michigan, 14 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, sisters; Evelyn and Roary Wark of Glenn, Michigan, Barbara and Andrew Stankey of Allegan, Michigan, Louise and Oakley Kayler of Gun Lake, Michigan, brothers; Russell and Karen VanOrder of Elreno, Oklahoma, and Raymond and Anna VanOrder of Zeeland, Michigan. Visitation will be Wednesday, February 4, 2015 from 5-9 p.m. and funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 5, 2015 at the Chappell Funeral Home 637 W. Main St. Fennville, Michigan, with Pastor Rick Jones officiating. Burial will be in the Millgrove Cemetery, Valley Township Allegan County, Michigan.
