Otniel Diaz, age 33, of Garland, Texas, formerly of Fennville, died unexpectedly on Thursday, January 30, 2014 in Texas. Otniel was born on February 23, 1980 in Holland, the son of Juvencio and Felipa (Gonzalez) Diaz. Otniel lived most of his life in Fennville, moving to Texas in 2006. He was a big fan of the Dallas Cowboys and the Texas Rangers, and loved being so close to the games. Otniel is loved and survived by his parents, his siblings; Maria Rodriguez, Virginia Sanchez, Teresa VanderHart, Esperanza Diaz, Olivia Chavez, Juvencio Diaz Jr., Martha Diaz, Sandra Diaz, Ester Scheerhooren, Daniel Diaz, Josue Diaz, Noemi Diaz-Miguel, along with many nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 7, 2014 at 11:00am at Chappell Funeral Home, 637 W. Main St. Fennville. Visitation will be Thursday from 6:00pm a?" 8:00pm at the funeral home.
