Nan L. Collins, age 70, of Fennville, went to be with her Lord Friday, July 3, 2009 after a lifetime of dedication to her husband, children, and church. Born April 11, 1939 in Walnut, Mississippi, she was the daughter of Dewitt and Annie Bell (Stamey) Kennedy. On Sept 27, 1959, Nan married Bob J. Collins. A homemaker, Nan also worked at Michigan Fruit Canners in Fennville for over 20 years. She was a member of the M-40 North Church of God. She was preceded in death by one daughter Belinda Collins in 1961. Surviving is her husband Bob Collins of Fennville, children; Larry and Norma Collins of Hamilton, Bob and Kim Collins of Allegan, Terry Collins of Fennville, and Sandra and Adam Pickworth of Benthiem, eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and one sister Edna Kinman of Fennville. Visitation will be Monday, July 6, 2009 from 5-8 p.m. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at the Chappell Funeral Home in Fennville, with Rev. C. Nathan Kelch officiating. Burial will be in Manlius Cemetery, Manlius Township. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Holland or the American Cancer Society.
