Michelle D. Green, age 45, passed away in her sleep on Friday, March 16, 2018 in Fennville, Michigan surrounded by her loving family. Born on April 7, 1972, in Holland, Michigan to Thalious B. Green (Ted) and Phyllis J. Green, she was the oldest of two children, and strived to make a difference in everyone's life that she touched especially those of children and young adults. At the age of six, she was diagnosed with thyroid disease. She had surgery and had a lengthy recovery of about four months. Being the fighter that she was, she managed to catch up on her school work with the help of her father as a tutor, and proceeded onto the next grade level with the rest of her peers, her love for Pac Man and Dig Dug kept her spirits high through the trials. Michelle was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses on July 2, 1988 at the "Divine Justice" District Convention. After graduating from high school, Michelle became a regular full-time pioneer preaching from door-to-door in the ministry for 4 years while also working as an early education instructor at Pullman Migrant Head Start during the summer months and attending Kalamazoo Valley Community College and Lake Michigan College. She proceeded to work as a Director at Fennville Area Youth services where she helped guide trouble youth to a better path. She graduated from the University of Phoenix in 2004 with her Bachelors of Science in Human Services, specializing in early childhood development. With a heart of a mother and a positive attitude, Michelle, after guiding the future generations at many different schools, truly found her home working as a pre-school teacher at Community Action Allegan County head start program in Fennville. Michelle lived life to the fullest with her simple pleasures of going to the beach, attending plays, traveling the world, and spending time with her close friends and family. She is survived by her mother and father, Diane; her sister, Sidney her nephew; and her dog Landon. Family, friends, and others whose lives Michelle touched are invited to the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 2199 Taft Rd, Allegan, MI 49010, from 1-2:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 24, 2018, to reminisce, grieve, support each other and, of course, just chat.
