IN LOVING MEMORY OF

Yonkers

Michael (Mick) Clarence Yonkers Jr.
August 20, 1948 – April 1, 2026
Michael (Mick) Clarence Yonkers Jr., 77, of Fennville, Michigan, passed away on April 1, 2026. He was born on August 20, 1948, in Chicago, Illinois, and lived a life marked by devotion, hard work, and a deep love for his family and the simple joys that made each day meaningful.
Mick was preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Pauline Yonkers. He is survived by the love of his life for 48 wonderful years, Cindy (Hamelen) Yonkers; his two beloved sons, Scott (Rachel) Yonkers and Eric Yonkers; and his cherished grandchildren, Whitney and Wesley. His family was the center of his world, and he treasured every moment spent with them. He loved his family more than anything, and that love was evident in the way he lived, the way he worked, and the way he cared for those around him.
Mick was a loving husband, father, and grandfather whose presence brought comfort and strength to those who knew him best. He built a life rooted in responsibility and dedication, and he carried those values into everything he did. As the owner and operator of a computer systems business, he took pride in his work and in the relationships he formed through it. His strong work ethic and steady nature earned the respect of many, and he approached his business with the same care and commitment that he brought to his family life.
Outside of work, Mick found joy in the outdoors and in the activities that allowed him to enjoy the world around him. He was a Fennville Rod and Gun Club member since 1987 in which shared his love with both sons working there and Cindy as current treasurer. He loved DIYing and tinkering to find creative solutions to complex problems. He also had a special fondness for old 60s muscle cars and enjoyed working on them, a pastime that reflected both his patience and his appreciation for craftsmanship. He appreciated the peace and satisfaction that came with family, spending time outdoors, tending to a project, or model railroading, Mick found happiness in the moments that brought people together and created lasting memories.
Those who knew Mick will remember him as a loving man with a kind heart and a steady spirit. He was happiest when surrounded by the people he loved, and he gave his time and attention generously to his family. His grandchildren brought him great joy, and he cherished the role of grandfather with pride and affection. The memories he created with Cindy, Scott, Eric, Rachel, Whitney, and Wesley will remain a lasting source of comfort and love for his family.
Mick will be greatly missed by everyone who loved him. In lieu of flowers, etc., donations can be made to Fennville Rod and Gun Club. (P.O Box 27, Fennville MI, 49408)
