Michael William McFarland passed away on October 17, 2013. He was 52 years old. He was a Fennville native living in Alabama. Mike was preceded in death by his father, Ernest Dean McFarland. He is survived by his children; Benjamin Michael McFarland and daughter-in-law Jamie of Fort Myers, FL; Lucas Dean McFarland of Taylor, MI; Hannah Jean McFarland of Grand Rapids, MI. Grandchildren; Baley Lee and Jaxson Robert McFarland of FL. Mother; Shirley Troutman and stepfather Ralph Troutman, Sr. of Saugatuck, MI. Sister; Terese DeLaLuz and brother-in-law Noel of Holland, MI. Niece; Allyson DeLaLuz. Nephews; Nick and Tyler DeLaLuz. Loved ones of the Crane family. Aunt; Clara and Carl Newboles of Paragould, AR. Uncle; Homer and Mary McFarland of Holland, MI. Many cousins. Stepmother; Shirley Gillette of Jenison, MI. Stepsisters; Shali, Rachel and Kristen, Cindy Troutman of Indiana and Linda Troutman of Holland, MI. Stepbrothers; Ralph Troutman, Jr. and Kenny Troutman of Saugatuck, MI. Mike was a graduate of Fennville High School and Ferris State University. He had the opportunity to work for several companies and for a while had his own business. He enjoyed playing and coaching football and basketball and spending time with his family. Mike had a big heart for helping others and could fix anything. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 23, 2013 from 2-4 and 6-8 at the Chappell Funeral Home 637 W. Main St. Fennville, Michigan, and funeral services will be 7:30 p.m Thursday, October 24, 2013 at the Fennville High School Gymnasium.
