Melvin R. Holtsclaw, 45, of Senath, M., died Friday, Aug. 12, 2005, in Kennett, Mo. He had lived in the Fennville area most of his live and had been employed in scrap metal sales. Surviving are his wife Sara; children, Terry Holtsclaw of Holland, Tammy Holtsclaw of Pullman, Crystal Holtsclaw of Fennville; stepchildren, Christopher Brown of Glenn, and Ashley Brown of Senath, Mo.; mother, Bonnie Holtsclaw of Fennville; seven grandchildren; brothers, Ricky Holtsclaw of South Haven, Ronnie Holtsclaw of Holland, Lonnie Holtsclaw, and Bobby and Tammy Holtsclaw , all of Fennville; a sister, Reva and Larry Shirley of Fennville. He was preceded in death by a son, Eric Holtsclaw, and his father, James Holtsclaw. Services are 2 p.m. Thursday at the Chappell Funeral Home, 637 W. Main St., with the Rev. Lon Estep officiating. Burial will be in Manlius Cemetery. Visiting is 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
