Maxine L. Okon, age 71, of Pullman, Michigan, died Thursday, November 11, 2010 at her home. Born June 4, 1939 in West Virginia, she was the daughter of Ira and Julia (Crouse) Kelly. A retired sales clerk for Walgreen Pharmacies, Maxine was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Allegan, MI. She and her husband have lived in the Pullman area for the past 13 years, coming from Chicago, Illinois. Maxine was a very loving, caring, wife, mother, and grandmother, she is survived by her husband Thomas, son John and Jill Okon of Pullman, daughters; Tracy and Daniel Donahue of Hebron, IN, Donna and Bobby Tillery, of Pullman, MI, and Julie Branigan of Hebron, IN, grandchildren; Anthony, Jason, Jamie, Michael, Jaclyn, Kristen, Eric, Randy, Kyle, Michael Jr., and Brianna, great-grandchildren; Cameron, Dakota, Michael, and Jocelynn. Maxine will be dearly missed by all her family, but will always be held close in their hearts. At her request, cremation has taken place and a memorial gathering will be held between 2 pm and 5pm, Saturday, November 20, 2010 at the Moose Lodge 1025 E. Wells St. South Haven, MI.
