Matthew Rayko, 76, of Fennville, died Friday, May 27, 2005, at his residence. Born in Chicago, he moved to Fennville in 1988 after retiring from the Chicago Fire Department, where he served as a firefighter for 32 years. He attended St. Peter's Catholic Church in Douglas. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Jean; children, Lawrence Rayko of San Diego, Calif., Gary Rayko of Apache Junction, Ariz., and Leigh Ann and Roy Weston of Sharon, Mass; grandchildren, Alexandra Rayko, and Jaquline Rayko; sisters, Lorraine and James Olliffe, and JoAnn and Peter Tratnik, all of Burbank, Ill.; nieces and nephews. Services are 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Albert the Great Catholic Church in Chicago. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery in Evergreen Park, Ill.
