Obituary

Mary Kowalski (Haiser), 91, of Fennville, MI formerly of Kankakee, IL, accepted the call from her Lord and Savior on January 27, 2008. She was preceded in death by Felix (Phil) Kowalski her husband of 5l years, her parents, Ann and Leopold Haiser, brothers, Frank, Ted, Leo, Stanley, and John Haiser, and sisters, Sophie Intribus, Mildred Haiser, Olga Zysk-Eby, and Carol Van Zandt. She is survived by her daughters, Phyllis Clauss of Valparaiso, IN, Carol Line (Robert) of Kankakee, IL, and Rita King (Micheal) of Grand Rapids, MI; grandsons, Phillip Line (Tammy), Daniel Clauss, Darren Clauss, Nicholas King, and Eric King; great-grandsons, Derek Line, Allen Line, and Jackson King and many cherished nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors. Mary was born and raised in Blue Island, IL, where she met and married Felix. They raised their daughters in Blue Island and Kankakee and moved to Michigan prior to their retirement. Mary loved large family gatherings, playing cards with her grandsons, riding her bike and swimming in Lake Michigan. She will be truly missed by all who were touched by her sense of humor and love of life. Visitation will be held at the Chappell Funeral Home, 637 W. Main St., Fennville, Michigan from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. with a rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 30, 2008. A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Douglas, MI on Thursday, January 31, 2008 at l:00 P.M.
